The bigger breeds, Maines and Siberians certainly, maybe Norwegians too, are not quite like ordinary cats. They are more intelligent. They give more to their humans. But they demand more understanding in return.

Find out as much as you can about the conditions their kittens are raised in. Remember that to some breeders, their kittens are not pets. They are revenue-earning livestock.
