From our riverside cabin, we took walks down to the river to enjoy a morning coffee each day that it was not raining.

We observed waterfowl a plenty. In addition, we went on a 4-mile paddle-boarding tour of the river about 1. Arden was within striking distance about 15 minutes of downtown Asheville, which had quality restaurants and breweries. The area is beautiful – even in the spring without leaves on the trees! No coffee in the lobby. Don’t expect to be able to check in early. There was a mix-up with our room, but we were given a discount. The hotel staff was nice and kept apologizing for the mistake.

The TV remote control didn’t work, but within 5 minutes of calling the front desk about it, a new one was brought to the room. Parking was limited. The TV remote control was terrible. The motel didn’t have an elevator. I had a pleasant stay. All the employees were helpful.
