– Southern Fast-Food Chains That Should Come to Every State

Do your part good people of America and never, ever buy fast “food”! How on earth can they call themselves a fast food restaurant when I go through the drive-thru just to be gestured to park on the side of the restaurant. It had taken 40 minutes to wait for 2 simple burgers. What could the staff possible be doing other than avoiding their job responsibilities?! South American restaurant. Stop into Guasaca soon for our famous arepas, local ingredients, and unique South American flavor!.

Guasaca was born out of the belief that it is possible to offer food that is delicious, affordable, fresh, If you are looking for something different and more cultural, then look no further than Guasaca. It is a South American restaurant located in west Raleigh.

Guasaca is an arepa and salsa grill. Great food, great service! At this time August 20, face masks are required inside. My son and I stopped on for lunch today.

Although there was a line when we arrived, it moved quickly. Good selection of South American food. I got the Arepa with shredded chicken. My son got a rice bowl, also with shredded chicken. Portion sizes are decent. They also have outside seating. So much food for an amazing price! I like to customize my bowl and the ingredients are always delicious and fresh!

The staff is also super nice and they move quickly and are generous with toppings! Food is always delicious, however this visit I placed my order for curbside pickup, as it’s my birthday and I had pets and children in the vehicle, and it did not go well.

The phone number I was told to call upon arrival via my confirmation wasn’t answered 3 times, so I had to pay to park, and go inside. Then the order wasn’t ready, and lastly I had to wait as if I was in line anyways. Why have the convenience of curbside pickup if you have to go in and wait in line anyways? Why have a phone number if it’s not going to be answered? Not cool, Guasaca, not cool at all. Italian restaurant. If you are someone who loves Italian food, we highly recommend Bella Monica.

It’s one of the best Italian Restaurants in Raleigh, hands down. We decided to grab a nice glass of wine and some lunch here after a trip to the art museum. We were thrilled with the find because they had an extensive gluten free menu. And the majority of it was also vegetarian too, which was perfect for me. We ended up splitting 3 different dishes and 1 liter of Pinot Grigio.

All were delightful and extremely tasty. The restaurant was a bit dark for our liking, but other than that one minor complaint, everything was fantastic.

We will definitely be back again soon! Make sure to reserve a table beforehand because they can get really busy. We were seated, ordered, served our food, ate, and left within about an hour which was great. Definitely recommend! Calzone for him and eggplant rollatini V for me. Service was fast and friendly. Great ambience and plenty of wine choices. Accidentally came in front the back door. We are monitoring all local, state and federal regulations to provide customers with contactless ordering options.

If I could give -5 Stars I would. The woman behind the counter was so rude. I was nothing but respectful and smiling and she gave many orders in front of mine before she got mine and all I had was too small items and these other people had way more items than me. Only eat here if it’s a last resort like I had to.

On another note you will get asked for money several times and you will see a variety of different people bathing in the bathroom.

Good luck if you decide to go here. Love the lady in the morning at the 1st window. She’s always friendly! The night staff..

Young people.. I ordered a twenty piece nugget. They only gave me 2 sauces. The manager, young girl who work at night was literally trying to make me pay for extra sauce. I said girl are you serious 20 nuggets and only 2 sauces. Stop being ridiculous. Go through this all the time at this location or get home and items are missing: whole meal no fries, Uber eats never have my drinks.

Hot mess! Come on young people.. Today I experience bad servicing. Sorry to say it like this but an old lady that was at the cash registered that took my order. Through my order my bag with her hands that she was grabbing money with that could have been infected with covid I do not appreciate that kind of service not with this pandemic she should stay in the cash register and only in the cash register handling the money not the food.

Really nice coffee shop. The oat milk latte was perfectly prepared with beautiful latte art. The food was quite good. Everything was fresh and yummy. Highly recommend the donuts which are made to order. Super cute inside, too. A bustling local coffee shop with artisan roasters and a small but tasty selection of food. I really enjoy their Specialty pour over coffee. Good vibe and energy inside with a homey outdoor seating area.

The staff was SO friendly!!! I would recommend this place to anyone!! My friend and I were visiting NC and went to another place to eat but the wait was over an hour. The staff was phenomenal. They were so friendly and fun.

The music was amazing. It was such a great vibe. Everyone was eating, talking and just having a good time. Everything went smooth from ordering in the app, to getting the, food and paying. Such a cool system as they are a cashless business.

I definitely recommend. The food was very tasty. We loved the flavor of each different taco. The salsas and aguacate were very good. Combine those with a cozy outdoor seating with heaters on cold days was fabulous. We will return! Excellent tacos and exceptional service as usual. We showed up at peak dinner hour on a Friday night, but the staff were hustling to keep plates and drinks coming.

I especially appreciated the bar tender guidance on ordering a virgin margarita since my a recent change in medication prevents me from enjoying alcohol. He served up an amazing mocktail dupe to meet my craving. Our favorite tacos are the pork belly, sesame rib eye, and the fried avocado, but you cannot make a poor choice. The ordering system makes it simple to customize your order. This place definitely sets the bar high. Thank you for another delicious meal. We’ll definitely be back! Peruvian restaurant.

Delicious chicken, big portions and authentic flavors. The green sauce is the best. It goes perfect with the chicken and tostones. We enjoyed our experience and the service is fantastic, quick and easy. Place looked clean and waiting time wasn’t long at all. We’ll be coming back for sure!! This place used to have the best food in Raleigh to the point to where I used to eat there as many as times a week. Unfortunately, recently the quality and taste of the food has not been as great as it used to be.

One time I got there around pm and they were already out of chicken! A chicken restaurant out of chicken! The chicken was undercooked and has a very bad taste to the point where I threw more than half of my plate away. I hope someone can put some order and bring back the best tasting chicken in town.

This is the first time I ordered from this place and I was amazed how good the food is. It was clean and friendly people. The food tasted great the chicken was tender and moist, I had the dark meat and then my husband had the white meat and it’s the best moist and seasoned chicken. I enjoy the food from Sonic. I have been getting the chicken slider. It has clean fresh flavor. It is just the right size for a take out meal. The staff are friendly and efficient. The building needs a remodel to improve the appearance for healthy standards.

This place always takes a long time and this last time they got my order wrong. I asked for a coke, double bacon cheese burger no pickles no onions. They gave me a sweet tea, I’m not a fan of sweet tea, and they put pickles, onions, and no bacon. For someone that hates pickles and onions on his burger, this is horrible.

Probably not going back here for a while. Rather get food from the shady Chinese place in that shopping center than sonics. Went there to get dinner for myself got me a bacon cheeseburger and a Coney hot dog. The food tastes like it was just old and a mayonnaise taste like it was spoiled or something so I just stopped eating it and good Lord did I get food poisoning.

They take their sweet time getting your food ready. They are not professional with customer service at all I’m seeing a lot of one and two stars if this place has such an issue why is it anything being done to change it. After eating there told someone friends and neighbors about what happened they all literally told me don’t ever go to that particular Sonic you will get sick I wish I would have known that. The owner of the business is the one who took our order, and oh my gosh she was just lovely!

So personable, passionate about her business, caring about us, she even introduced us to her mom! This level of care transcends into her passion for delicious food. I LOVE that they had two vegan options, both of which were delicious. They offer vegan cilantro sauce, too, which is so good! They have composting and recycling there as well. All of the staff was also very friendly.

We live in Florida, so we can’t be regulars : but we have family in Durham, and when we come back, we will certainly visit again! Higy recommend! It was delicious in that it was flavorful.

It was a bit too salty for me though.. The drinks were refreshing but also very sweet. Loved the cilantro sauce! We had tried their food truck a couple of years ago when they were parked at a brewery and really liked it. So we were excited to try their brick and mortar location. Huge disappointment! The staff wasn’t very friendly and the prices were ridiculous!

Guasaca is exponentially cheaper and much more flavorful. The arepas lacked any real flavor and appeared to be devoid of spices. We were not fans and do not have any plans to go back. Hot dog restaurant. What I love most about Snoopy’s is the feeling of nostalgia that it brings. I truly feel like I take a step back in time when I visit. Exactly what you want and expect from a hotdog stand: no frills, comfort food without breaking the budget.

We had hotdogs, burgers and fries for four. No complaints and everyone was satisfied. Throwback to childhood food shacks. Food was okay, had a funny after taste to the food. I like the hwy42 location it’s better.

Becky work there and Y’all know those big mama’s really know how to cook. Bland, low quality hotdog and burger. Buns do stick to the wrapping as other reviews said. Packaging smears the chilli and ketchup around. Chilli seemed like canned chilli. Was hoping for a lot more with the high rating. Friendly service. Track your travel spending and split costs with friends Plan your trip.

Keep your budget organized. Split the cost between tripmates. Wanderlog does it all. My daughter brought me a spicy chicken sandwich as a surprise and boy was it delicious. It tasted fresh, hot, and I usually don’t like fried chicken The reason for the poor review? In the image you can see a normal sized chicken strip one of the smaller ones we got And the smallest one, which was actually just a piece of another tender that pulled apart.

They counted this as a whole tender, so we got 4. Seats are all the way on the third level, opposite side of the arena.

I wasn’t going to miss a whole period of hockey to get it fixed, and I guess that’s probably what they were counting on. Ordered chicken tenders, got sandwiches and then when I went to get it fixed, they made me wait for everyone else’s orders. Missed almost the entire first period. This is located inside of PNC Arena, it is not a stand alone restaurant.

It’s only open when there are events at the Arena. With so much talk about their beer psst. If you are looking for where to eat in Raleigh that also has awesome brews, Raleigh Beer Garden is your spot!

Bartender was very nice, knowledgeable, and energetic. Food was better than I honestly expected and loved all the local beer options. Will be a staple for our future visits. Best thing is the Dog Menu. Atmosphere was great. They have a fantastic outdoor seating area. The food was good.

I highly recommend their deep fried pretzal. We were there on a Monday night and the was a 15 min wait for a table.

It also appeared that they only had one server Best beer garden with chill vibes. Price was bit over but drinks were amazing. Their environment was great and provide enough space for everyone! Def coming back soon! Mentioned on 1 list. Food Hall. Located in a historic garage, this venue features over 50, square feet of food-related business. You can stroll through, grab a Dank Burrito, and swig on some Burial Beer.

Really cool spot for drinks , food , coffee or just casual socializing spot. Hippie atmosphere and variety of small restaurants is convenient for almost any taste or dietary restrictions. Easy parking in the back which is super convenient. Definitely recommend for breakfast or lunch if you visiting Raleigh. Transfer Co. Food Hall have a variety of places to eat.

The atmosphere was warm and friendly. The food was amazing. Pretty cool vibe and so many different options to choose from, which makes it perfect for a big gathering and gives everyone on the table an opportunity to try something they want to experience and even share a bunch of different things between your people.

I tried the empanadas at the Che empanadas place and loved them! I will certainly consider coming back here! Locally owned and located right on the edge of downtown on W. Morgan St. What a great spot! Reasonable prices and exceptional quality. I got the “Most Loyal” pizza which includes a pesto base, rich cheese, chicken, and a honey drizzle. Pesto and honey is a combo I haven’t tried before, but this pizza makes it work well!

Definitely ordering this again. On top of that, this spot seems to have a nice local feel, with friendly bartenders, and nice regulars. I will be back soon! Wait staff was nice but terrible. Highly recommend ordering food to go. As a waitress-turned-nurse, I completely empathize and personally understand the consequences of the pandemic.

However, that is no excuse for our table of empty glasses to be ignored for 30 minutes. I did a walk through and saw a max of 8 tables, at least two waitresses, numerous other staff. It seems their thing is to walk past tables and ignore raised hands and avoid making eye contact. We finally received attention when we were told we needed to leave by a certain time to make room for another reservation. I will never go back to sit down because of the less than adequate customer service.

Again, the food is so delicious, but would recommend taking it to go because you will likely provide better service to yourself than those who have been hired at the restaurant. Delicious make your own pizza pic included! Truly epic!!! Get the Local Celebrity, it is possibly the best pizza I have ever had. The beer is amazing as well. We can’t wait to come back. Thank you for an amazing meal!

Hip haunt for scratch-made ramen with optional toppings, plus small bites at the izakaya bar. Get ready to slurp some delicious, piping-hot noodles at Tonbo Ramen!. The ramen is made from scratch in this downtown Raleigh restaurant, filling the place with warm aromas!.

We were seated right away, downstairs. There is also an upstairs area with a bar, but we didn’t get a chance to check it out. The atmosphere is quiet but inviting, and despite ending up with a full house, it never got exceptionally loud. I have a seafood allergy and they were more than accommodating.

We started with the ram’n cheese bites and delicious is not generous enough. They were crispy without being oily and the flavor was mild and on point. The only sad part is it came with three and we had to share that last one. We both got the Katsudon bowl. The pork was cooked perfectly and melted in your mouth and paired nicely with the rice, egg, and onions. My partner ordered no onion and was happy with his. We paired a Hana sake flight and it is some of the best sake I’ve had.

It’s a flight of sweet sake, like apple or peach. All in all, a very delicious lunch. Dined in the upstairs bar, bartender was attentive and service was great. The ramen was good. Has the Shoyu, broth was a tad on the salty side.. The pizza is high-quality and incredibly delicious. A personal favorite at Mellow Mushroom is the Buffalo chicken pizza topped with a creamy blue cheese swirl or the holy shiitake pie. While the ’70s-themed pizza chain does have a handful of restaurants across the country in New Jersey, Arizona, and throughout the Midwest, a majority of Mellow Mushroom locations are concentrated in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

Waffle House is known for its hours-a-day, days-a-year hours, and for being an unofficial measure for just how bad a tropical storm or hurricane really is , as most locations will remain open even in inclement weather. This Southern diner may be most well-known for its breakfast, but the joint also serves up sandwiches, burgers, melts, and even sirloin steaks. When it comes to delicious Southern fast food, sometimes it’s OK to keep things inside the box — the “box combo,” that is.

The chain’s chicken fingers also come with coleslaw, Texas toast, and crispy crinkle-cut fries. However, Raising Cane’s is perhaps most famous for its Cane’s sauce, the chain’s signature dipping sauce. Zaxby’s was a go-to stop during my time in North Carolina for one of its famous wings. Not only does this Southern spot offer Buffalo wings that will tickle your taste buds, but they also have a number of delicious sides, sandwiches, and chicken fingers that will have you coming back for more.

Oh, and did I mention that some of their sandwiches come on Texas toast? This North Carolina BBQ chain serves up classic Southern favorites like pulled-pork sandwiches, fried shrimp, barbecue chicken, and all the fixings. At Smithfield’s Chicken ‘N Bar-B-Q , a chicken platter comes with your choice of either light or dark meat, coleslaw, potato salad, and hush puppies.

Wash it all down with some sweet tea, and don’t forget a slice of pecan pie. Read next. Erin McDowell. Facebook Icon The letter F. Email icon An envelope. It indicates the ability to send an email. As a matter of fact a coworker went back again…. The ice cream is DQ ice cream The other day I saw…. The order is always right, dine-in or drive-through.

Great food!!! When we go to church which is down the street from Taco Bell, we, most of the time, decide to go there and have a snack or a full meal. We have…. This Subway is the freshest in the area. I pass one Subway to get to this Subway at least 3 times a week.

Early morning Submitted order said it would be 15 minutes before biscuits would be ready. They open at Very unorganized and poorly trained staff. Got my order wrong as well as several other peoples would not recommend this place at all. Manager for first shift on am very rude chicken wings wasn’t ready asked to give extra in piece tender since I was suppose to get…. Chinese fast food at it’s worst..
