If you are lucky, the days will be cool and crisp with colder nights — perfect for a fire. Keep in mind that Christmas decorations start early there – so if you can be in the holiday mood in November, then you can see the Christmas decorations before it really gets crowded after Thanksgiving. So in summary — if you want to be able to be outside – want to avoid the crowds – but want to see Biltmore decorated for Christmas — then go in BEFORE Thanksgiving and visit during the week.

New Years Day is my favorite day to visit.. Any Saturday between Thanksgiving and Christmas will involve big crowds and long waits to move through the house. We went in April of this year and it was beautiful with all the flowers in bloom. I think anytime of the year is great to visit the Biltmore.
